Heather Rose Jewelry

Lately I have been making new pieces using new materials as well as vintage pieces that I have found at auctions, estate sales and flea markets. It has created a very fun new pastime for me and my family. We now have something to do on weekends, go jewelry hunting! It seems like everyone knows the vaule of vintage pieces now and even though you are buying something used you will find it still has a hefty price tag. It is well worth it though when you find pieces that are in mint condition. I just love creating these vintage~modern pieces. I will usually take the vintage pieces I will be using along with me to Michaels to search the bead gallery for just the right colors to compliment them.

The Blues Charm Bracelet By Heather Rose

This is one of my Half & Half Charm Bracelets. I call these my Half & Half Bracelets because they are half chunky and half single layer. They have a nice full center, but are single layer on the sides. They are great for people who want a nice full look, but not as much weight. If the bracelet is too loose, the chunky center will sometimes slide to the side or back of the wrist, so you want to make sure to get the right size. And even with the right size this still sometimes will happen with wrist play.

Majestic Owls Altered Art Bracelet By Heather Rose

Owls are my mothers favorite bird. As a child I remember her painting them when she had time. My mother was very talented with ceramics and she owned her own shop for awhile where she painted beautiful pieces which she sold, and she and my grandmother taught painting lessons for ceramics.
I made this piece using altered art double sided image charms, Silvertone Owl Charms, Porcelain painted owls, a Tigereye Gemstone owl, and a Ton of glass beads, Many of the beads I used are Czech Glass in assorted pressed and faceted surfaces.

Northwoods Wilderness Bracelet By Heather Rose

I love the outdoors. I have not been camping for quite some time now, but I really miss it. Although I hate sleeping in a tent, I enjoy fishing, and sitting around the campfire at night. I wanted to create a bracelet that reminded me of the outdoors. I love fall so I wanted to use colors that were more autumn tones. I used frosted glass leaves, Lampwork Glass rounds and coins in green with swirls of browns and caramels, Frosted Glass Rounds and Faceted Glass Rounds with a/b hues. I used Charms of animals that you would find in the northwoods, an owl, a moose, a fox, a hawk, a fish, a bear and a wolf.
